This year as a part of our canned food drive for the Salvation Army, any students who brings in 10 or more canned goods will receive a Dress Down Day Pass from their advisor. The Pass may be used to wear a Spirit Shirt any day during the Second Semester. All cans must be turned in to your advisor in order to receive credit for your cans. Also, for every 10 cans you bring in, your name will be entered into the Beta Club's drawing for an iTunes gift card.
Another part of our Christmas Program is donating an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. Things that we take for granted - like presents during the Holidays - are unheard of for people in our own community. Across the US over 46 million people live in poverty - over 16 million kids under the age of 18 live in poverty. It is a great thing for us to have the opportunity to donate something so small that will bring so much joy to those in need.
Our last portion of our Christmas Program is the presentation of gifts to our kitchen staff and custodians. Our school does not stay as clean as it does and in such good condition by chance; we have staff that are here long before you arrive and leave long after you every single day to make sure that everything in our school is clean and working properly. It is very important that we show our appreciation for all that our staff does for us by bringing in money to give to your first period teacher - or any teacher throughout the day. Every little bit adds up!

Advisory - Break
Students,
Now that we are into November, it is very easy to become comfortable in the hallways and in the classrooms. We are comfortable with our classmates, teachers, and moving from class to class. We need to remember the expectations we hold in the classrooms and all around school. Be prepared for every class and treat your teachers and classmates with respect. With 3 weeks until Thanksgiving Break, it can be very easy to not give 100%. I am challenging each of you to put forth your best effort in everything you do! It takes courage to do things the right way every day and to treat your friends and teachers the way they deserve to be treated!
